The Ottoman Centuries - The rise and fall of the Turkish Empire
A great book by Lord Kinross. The book is 622 pages but it is fun to read. Especially in my case, since I read Ottoman history during my middle school education, I enjoyed to see another point of view on this 600 years of history.

I have to admit, there are some parts in this book that might be a little offensive though.

crm handbook.jpg (56324 bytes)

The CRM Handbook
It is educative book about customer relations management but personally I would like to have a more detailed book about CRM topic. This book by Jill Dyche can be a useful tool for the starter or people who want to have some understanding of what CRM is all about.

beirut to jerusalem.jpg (89293 bytes)

From Beirut to Jerusalem
Now, there is a book that everybody who is interested in MidEast should read. It is a little controversial but what is not in that region. The author (Thomas Friedman) being an American Jewish is also very interesting. He maintains a very fine objective standing on very delicate issues.

I recommend this book strongly.

Of Paradise and Power:
America and Europe in the new world order

A 100 page book from Robert Kagan. A great book that analyzes the differences between US and EU, explaining with the frame of power. I recommend this easy reading book for anyone who wants to understand the reasons of the gap in Trans-Atlantic alliance.

Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the way we make things
If you are in to recycling, committed to saving this planet, this is the book. William Mc Donough and Michael Braungart enlightened me about the products and the realities of recycling. With only 185 pages it is not a very big book, very easy to read.

Hatred's Kingdom: How Saudi Arabia supports the new global terrorism
This book blew me away. Dore Gold is an ex-ambassador to UN and he has some opinions about the Saudi Kingdom. In order to understand the reasons of the radical Islam and its surprising expansion, this is the book I recommend

On Becoming a Leader
Good but a little too general

The Goal
I have read this book in 1994 at my MBA program. Now, after 10 years the book is still popular with the academics. I had to read it again since it was required at Auditing course at University of Texas.

This book is considered one of the best in process improvement and system re-engineering.
